Creating an Anime template in photoshop - An original tutorial by Richard Isbell
part 6
Step 41
Now just press Delete:

Step 42
This is it: The HARD part. You only thing you need here is patience. First go View->Clear guides. We're going to make new ones and we don't need anything to get in the way. Now press K to enter slice mode. Make a new guide and drag it down to just where the tab links begin. Then drag the slice tool all the way over the header image. (Make sure you have snap on):

Step 43
See the numbers 01 and 02? Those are our slice images. If we were to 'save for web' now, we would have two iamges. But of course, we need more. The trick is to work out how to do all of it on the least number of slices as possible. We need to have our tab links as seperate images, so we're going to create 6 more slices. Don't forget to make guides first:

Step 44
Good. But there's a problem already. Look at slice number 7. We are going to need more slices here because the right panel is going to contain text. So what do we do? Simple: Divide the slice. Click and hold the slice tool icon until the drop down menu appear. Now choose the slice select tool and click on slice 7. Look at the top of the screen. See that 'Divide Slice' button? Well click it. When the screen appears change both the horizonal and vertical slices to 2:

Step 45
Now move the slices to resemble this:

Step 46
Have a break - You need it! O.K, for the main middle section, we're going to need more guides. The left panel is where all our text links will be and I want all the slices to be the same height. It's easier to make one slice and then divide it:

Step 47
Divide slices 13 and 15 into 13 and slice 19 into 2:

Step 48
Turn off snap if you can't place the guides correctly, but remember to turn it back on when placing the slices. Also, make sure none of your slices have grey numbers:
