Creating an Anime template in photoshop - An original tutorial by Richard Isbell part 3
Step 17 I'm going to use these tabs for the Forum, Chat, Search and Log In buttons, so I need 3 copies. Rename the layer 'Tab' and drag it to the 'New Layer' icon. You get a new layer called 'tab copy'. Now press M on the keyboard to enter movement mode. Now SHIFT+the right arrow key 8 times:
Step 18 Now make two more:
Step 19 Before we add text to the tab buttons, I want to organise the layer panel a bit, otherwise it's going to get very messy. With 'tab copy 03' stil selected, click the 'create a new set' icon at the bottom of the layers panel. Rename it 'tabs' and drag all the tab layers into it. Now that we have finished editing the tabs area, all we need to do is click the little triangle just to the left of the tabs folder and it will close, leaving us more room in the layers panel.
Step 20 Now for the text. Press Z on the keyboard to enter Zoom mode and get right in close to the first tab. Then press T to enter text mode and drag the text box in the tab. Type whatever you want (here I have entered 'Forum') You'll see I have also made the tabs slightly wider by pressing CRTL+T and transforming them a little. Also, make sure the 'Forum text' layer is inside our TABS folder.
Step 21 With the type tool and the text selected, you can change the text color, size and font. Now duplicate the type layer, move it across to the right and enter the second word. Then do the other two in exactly the same way:
Step 22 Now for the title. Close the TABS folder and make a new text layer on top of the header layer: Here are the layer style options I used:
